                     GEOMETRY Directory Contents

The GEOMETRY directory contains 2001 Odyssey THEMIS data products.
One or more of the following files are found in this directory.

GEOINFO.TXT  - The file you are reading.

GEOMETRY.HTM -  The 2001 Mars Odyssey THEMIS Geometric Processing User's
                Guide as HTML text.

GEOEMTRY.PDF -  Adobe Acrobat version of the 2001 Mars Odyssey THEMIS 
                Geometric Processing User's Guide.

GEOMETRY.LBL -  PDS label for GEOMETRY.HTM and GEOMETRY.PDF.

ODTIGVOL.CAT - High-level catalog object for the ODY THM IR-GEO logical
               volume; only available in the virtual volume.

ODTVGVOL.CAT - High-level catalog object for the ODY THM VIS-GEO logical
               volume; only available in the virtual volume.



THEMIS Data Products are stored in sudirectories named for the data 
contents following the pattern "AoooxxGEO".  Each subdirectory contains 
ISIS CUBE data files and their associated detached label, respectively 
named following the patterns "AooooonnnGGG.CUB" and "AooooonnnGGG.LBL".  
Subdirectory and file name patterns are case insensitive and defined as

    A      is a 1 letter description of the type of image collected; 
           [ I = infrared image; V = visible image ]
    ooooo  is the 5-digit mission orbit number when the data was 
           collected, zero padded
    oooxx  is the first 3 numbers of the mission orbit number when the 
           data was collected, zero padded, followed by a placeholder 
           representing the remaining digits of the mission orbit number
    nnn    is the 3-digit image sequence number indicating the order that
           images were collected within a given orbit
    GGG    is an abbreviated description of the geometric projection of the
           data products;  [ LOC = locally applicable projection ; 
           SNU = sinusoidal projection ].
    .EXT   is a 3 letter suffix indicating the file type; [ CUB = ISIS cube ;
           LBL = PDS detatched label ].


A single text file (NODATA.TXT) will be present if the subdirectory is 
known to contain no data.
