END_OBJECT = TEXT END INDEX Directory Contents The INDEX directory contains tabular index files, accompanied by detached PDS labels, for the TES-TSDR data set. The following files are found in this directory. INDXINFO.TXT - The file you are reading. INDEX.TAB - The index table for data products on this volume. INDEX.LBL - PDS label describing INDEX.TAB. CUMINDEX.TAB - The index table that list all TES-TSDR data products on all volumes published to date. CUMINDEX.LBL - PDS label describing CUMINDEX.TAB. CLASS.TXT - A lookup table that provides the value for the OBSERVATION_CLASSIFICATION keyword in the obs*.tab files. DETMASK.TXT - Information on spatial editing using detector masks. The DETECTOR_MASK keyword is used in the obs*.tab files. QUALITY.TXT - A lookup table that provides the value and explanation for the QUALITY keywords in the atm*.tab, bol*.tab, obs*.tab, and rad*.tab files. SPECMASK.TAB - Table of spectral masks SPECMASK.TXT - Information on spectral editing masks. The SPECTRAL_MASK keyword is used in the rad*.tab files. Notes on Using the Index Tables Each index table contains one row (record) for each data product on the volume. The table is formatted so that it can be read directly into many data management systems. All fields are separated by commas and character fields are enclosed in double quotation marks ("). Character fields are left justified and numeric fields are right justified. Each record ends with ASCII carriage return and line feed characters. This allows the table to be treated as a fixed length record file on computers that support this file type and as a normal text file on other computers. The PDS label file for each table describes the content and structure of the fields in the index table. This description includes the name of each field, its format, and a brief definition. The values for start byte and number of bytes listed in the label file do not include commas between fields or quotation marks surrounding character fields.
